Our exciting new venture… Do Good Networking!

By Rachael Ward 1st January 2019

SimpleClick are now embarking on a brand new venture… Do Good Networking. A different type of networking where you do good, feel good and make connections.

For the past few years, SimpleClick have been involved with a fantastic ethical business networking event known as I Roll Up My Sleeves, or IRUMS, a new and refreshing type of business networking where you got to leave behind your suits and help out local charities and community projects while making new business connections.

When we heard the news that IRUMS was closing, we were really disappointed for them. SimpleClick were a main sponsor and involved from the start. We really believed in it and knew the value to both the charities it supported and the people that attended - we always left feeling great after every event and like we’d really made a difference. It was great to be able to help those in need as part of your normal working day.

We decided that we would love to relaunch and run the event ourselves so we could carry on the great work that they’d started. And from there Do Good Networking was born!

The event is for anyone in business that wants to try a different type of networking. From micro businesses to large corporate organisations, everyone’s welcome! Personally, I’ve always been grateful for the event as, having young children and working too, I don’t have much spare time to give back so it’s a great opportunity to help out for a few hours during your working week.

There’s absolutely still a place for traditional networking but if you want to try something different alongside your current networking events, come along and be a Do Gooder.

We’ll be launching with our first event at the end of January at Emmaus, the homelessness charity, as IRUMS have already helped with so many new features to their Dales Road venue and there’s always more work to be done!

We’re currently putting together a calendar of events for 2019. You can sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear about our launch event at do-good.co.uk. We hope to see you there!
