2023 was another productive year for SimpleClick, from onboarding new clients to developing Doddle our Enterprise CMS and of course a rather special birthday…

SimpleClick turned 15

2023 saw SimpleClick turn 15! A huge milestone for any business and something worth celebrating. The team embarked on a celebratory day in London where we had an unforgettable team-building adventure at Monopoly Lifesize, a visit to The Sky Garden (London's highest public garden), topped off with a special dinner treat at Benihana’s restaurant.

Employer of the Year Finalists

SimpleClick were finalists for Employer of the Year at the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards. It's a testament to our commitment to creating a workplace where our employees can thrive.

Whilst we didn't win the top prize, we're still honoured to be recognised amongst the best employers in our County. We're always looking for ways to improve our workplace, and we are committed to being the best employer we can be.

Team training

We had wellbeing training with Suffolk Mind. The workshop provided a detailed look into 'The Mental Health Continuum' and how anyone can move up and down the scale. It gave us insight into how we can balance our physical and emotional needs for a healthy mental state using the Mental Health Toolkit. This is being used in the team's monthly wellbeing 1:1s.

A ‘Breaking the Binary' and 'Removing the Barriers' faced by the LGBTQ+ community workshop was delivered by Tracy Martinez training. The session was informative with plenty of information to take away and think about, promoting understanding, inclusivity, and sensitivity which is key to creating a more accepting and supportive environment for everyone.

Jules passed her DMA (Data & Marketing Association) UK Digital Marketing Strategy Skills Bootcamp and gained the level 5 IDM Certificate in Digital Marketing Strategy.

Jules, Rachel and Nick attended the world's largest SEO conference, Brighton SEO. A great 2 days of learning and developing their skillset.

The team expanded

We had 3 new starters join the SimpleClick team. Project Manager Mark joined in February, with 13 years of agency experience working with a vast array of clients. Developer James and junior developer Ada joined in October. James has several years of experience working for global companies and welcomed the chance to work alongside a more local team. Ada, having just completed her degree in Web and Mobile Development, was pleased to secure her first job in the industry with SimpleClick.

Cyber Essentials certification

At SimpleClick, we handle not only our data but also data belonging to our customers. This is why we continue to make improvements with our processes, our product Doddle, and staff training.

To support this, we gained Cyber Essentials certification, a National Cyber Security Centre backed scheme that helps organisations protect themselves from cyber attacks.

We got out in the community

We facilitated 5 Do Good Networking events, raising £450 for local charities and giving back 120 hours on local projects.

Matt worked with Suffolk New College, delivering 4 workshops introducing modern web languages and frameworks to students,  started a mentoring role as part of their mentorship programme, and took part in the New Anglia Games Jam judging and presenting an award.

It's not all work and no play at SimpleClick

We love to spend time together outside of work too. We had a variety of different social events this year, augmented reality darts, crazier golf, comedy nights and an escape room to mention a few. We ended the year with Christmas Party where we can all let go and celebrate the years successes together!
