Claire Thorpe

Claire loves nothing more than analysing the online needs of a business and translating this into a bespoke website design with User Experience (UX) at its heart.

Claire’s fascination for UX started at the University of Essex. She supplemented her studies with a part-time role at a local digital agency, where she was offered a full-time position after graduating.  After gaining a few years’ experience, she moved to London to take on the role of International Web Manager for LOVEFiLM.com, which cemented her love of UX, and of course, film!

Claire is meticulous in her attention to detail. Her thorough project management ensures that each website meets (and often exceeds) the exacting needs of every client.

Recently, Claire become SimpleClick's Mental Health Champion. which means that looking after the wellbeing of the team is one of her top priorities.   Not only that, but she loves to give back, especially to the new generation of up-and-coming techies.  It's for this reason that she is a STEM Ambassador and a mentor for Year 10 students at Ipswich Academy.

The best thing about working for SimpleClick is the diversity of project work. No two days are the same!

Outside of work, Claire loves nothing more than spending time with her son Freddie. As with most six-year olds, he leaves her little time to indulge in a page-turning British crime thriller, but she does belong to a monthly book club.

She’s not afraid of taking on new challenges. A few years ago, Claire, along with SimpleClick’s MD, Richard Jennis, skydived on behalf of a children’s charity, although she won’t be jumping out of a plane again any time soon!

She would rather be a passenger, having been bitten by the travel bug. She has already explored some of the World’s most stunning destinations including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia. She says the Monkey Forest in Bali was a particular highlight, as well as a trip on the Eastern and Oriental Express. Her dream holiday would be to see orangutans in the wild in Borneo.
